Polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) is a biogenic polymer that has the potential to substitute synthetic plastic in numerous applications. This due its unique attribute of being biodegradable and biocompatible thermoplastic, achievable through microbial fermentation from broad utilizable range renewable resources.
